I confess that when I sat down to write a privacy statement I first of all scratched my head a little bit, because the fact is that we do not really collect any information on this website at all! We don't use cookies which means we don't gather any information about you surreptitiously; and we don't ask you to fill in any forms spelling out your life history. There is information that we could gather about you, from our server logs; this information gives the time and date of your visit to our site; the pages you looked at and the time you spent on them; the IP address you were using at the time and the pages that you visited first, when you arrived on our site, and last, when you left. None of this information could ever identify you personally, even if we had wanted to do so, which we don't.
We do however have hyperlinks on our website which, if you click on them, will transfer you to other websites. These sites almost certainly do drop cookies onto your computer, tablet or phone; and they may well ask for further information from you in order to provide you with the service that you have visited them to find. When you do go to these sites you need to check their own privacy policies, since we have no control over them whatsoever.
If you contact us by e-mail, which you are very welcome to do so, we will store a copy of the e-mail on our computer system. This is protected by standard encryption systems, in a secure building. If, however, you wish us to delete your e-mails after we have received them, please let us know and we will do so.
We will not under any circumstances pass on what tiny bits of information we have about you to any other person or any company, regardless of why they want this information; unless we are specifically order to do so by a UK court of law. The possibility of this happening is as near to zero as makes very little difference.
